Thanks for this perspective. I saw dramatic changes in myself when relocating from Central Illinois to Tempe, Arizona. I was under the assumption that maybe more sunshine and less humidity would prevent depressive episodes. I felt more drained every month I lived there, and my skin started to revolt. I got nose bleeds out of the blue and never felt quenched regardless of how much water I drank. Sure, the sun was great, but it did me no good trapped inside half the year! 6 1/2 years later, I quit my job (another big reason for relocating) and moved back to a more humid environment. Last year I found a happy medium in Cary, North Carolina (next to Raleigh). I get more sunshine than Illinois with more humidity than Arizona. Best of all, I'm friends with my body again! So, I hear the truth in everything you say - where you live greatly impacts how you feel. It goes way beyond whether someone has the external creature comforts to satisfy survival needs.

Thank you for sharing! Sounds like you've had a similar journey to mine, though from the opposite pole. Amazing how our bodies communicate these needs as much as our soul longs for certain aesthetics and different forms of natural beauty. I've been to that area of North Carolina, it's beautiful :)

I loved this story. It’s always a dilema - where to live, when there are so many options. Which places really feels like home, but without too much social “stuff” to deal with there. And for those of us that left particular regions around the last 2-3 years, to head for places that were more open, there can often be a decent amount of trauma to deal with when we run into certain people who had ostracized us during the fiasco of 2020.

One thing I did try as far as figuring out where I would best thrive in the world, is Astrocartography. Interestingly though, a few of the places that were mentioned, are places I could not be less drawn too in general and they were also incredibly hot and humid, which I just can’t deal with at all. But several people I know have found it to be helpful when deciding where to be.

Hi Emma, I appreciate your thoughts. I've tried astrocartography as well, though it's been a long time since I looked at moving through that lens. I think it said Australia would be best for me, and interestingly - I have almost no aspects present in Colorado. California has a pluto line running through it for me, which makes sense! Ha. Another layer of factors to consider. Have you found somewhere to live that feels good AND feels like home?

Thank you so much for sharing this today! Your words, your honesty and your introspection are very appreciated, and the timing! Wow! My husband and I also moved from Colorado during the great blue-vid scamdemic. We moved to FLorida and have been living here almost 3 years. Since day one, we have both been suffering physically. It's not dramactic, but it's noticeable and our love of walking, hiking, biking.. generally living outdoors and exploring.. has waned to almost non existent. Even our cats suffer, we have one cat that is on allergy meds since we've moved here. Our conversations of late are all about the West, and talks have started about looking to move and how we might make that happen.. but where? I've built an incredibly successful Fascia Release and Massage business here. The people here are so in need of the work. The medical care here both conventional and alternative is .... LACKING! Reading your post today... hit me right between the eyes. I've been resistant to the thought of moving back to CO even though my heart and spirit are calling me back. My ego and intellect are blocking me! Social wounds.. that hits home! Thank you for sharing this. This article today is an answer to a prayer! I wish you and Stefan success, joy and fulfillment in this next leg of your journey! Maybe if we move back to CO, I can finally take a live course with you! Your work, and your words have definitely shaped my pracitice! Thank you for what you do! God Bless you!

Hi Sam! Wow, thanks for sharing. Yeah - sounds like you guys are facing similar challenges and fears. It's often a battle of the soul and spirit vs the head and ego, and the body is often the communication pathway for the soul and spirit to let us know that something is amiss. Thanks for the well wishes...I'll be in Boulder later today! And please keep me posted. We'll definitely have to get together after all these years if you come back to CO!

A third option than staying or leaving might be purchasing a small Rv and going up to Colorado for 2-3 months out of the year. You could still run your business the rest of the year in FL. Also, you could try this before making a complete move. Because maybe there's a particular time of year you especially don't appreciate FL and do especially appreciate CO. Just a thought. We moved from our blue state and just knowing that I have freedom to go back to the region for months at a time if we wish feels wonderfully freeing. It's not easy to arrange one's life that way, but I've met a lot of people who do and seem very happy with it.

I am meteopathic. I grew up in Colorado When I moved to the beautiful hills of Chianti, I began to understand the effects of climate on myself and others. Chianti is exceptionally beautiful but- the weather patterns there effected me greatly. There were marked changes. I am back in the dry climate of island Greece and feel a difference. The weather and climate definitely effect mind and body. I feel the best when back in Pagosa Springs, near where you are.

Hi Christy, nice to hear from you! I just drove through Pagosa Springs on the way to Buena Vista...it's so beautiful there. Fascinating, isn't it, that we can live somewhere beautiful and assume that we "should" FEEL good there...only to experience our body's revolt. If you're ever back in Pagosa, please reach out! Maybe it would work out to meet up. I've enjoyed our exchanges across the miles :)

Thanks for this great post. This gave me another nudge to qit my job and just GO. The coastal weather makes me really ill. I have never in my live jhad so often Bronchitis since I moved here. Whenever the wind is really bad. Which it is more often than not. The cold dampness you can hardly get out of your bones. I live on the SW coast of Scotland, it is usually gray, if the sky starts blue, you can expect planes spraying their stuff and at least 3 hours later that was it, gray skies again. During the lockdown there were hardly any planes and spraying and we had clear skies most of the time - that was the time I felt really good since I relocated here. I have put off moving because like you I do not know where to move to and because I have put so much money into this place here (sunk cost fallacy....), but I know it has to be the mountains. When living in Bavaria and spending so much time in Austria as well, the dry and sunny air was so healthy - feel good air quality. For their politics I would not move back, so I really have no idea where to go. And most of my postive astrolocationslines are over the oceans or in places I would not want to live.... Where we live is more important than anyone would think I believe.

Hi Annette - I'm glad this gave you a nudge, or more accurately affirmed the wisdom already inside of you. Freedom often exists on the other side of the [potentially terrifying] unknown. I must say, though, that I feel so much better having made the decision simply to leave and figure it out. The geoengineering is SO BAD in southern California. It's everywhere, including here in Colorado - but nothing like what I experienced for the past two years. Please keep me posted, and know I'm wishing for you a home that feels good, that feels right, and that nourishes your health - body and soul.

Thank you - I wish that too, for all of us.

And I will keep you posted. Currently what I discovered recently was a tip I'd like to share about the astrolocation lines: If you cannot go to a good place for some reason, surround yourself with pictures, music, people, contacts, books from that area.

My best line runs through Siberia and China, and I always had a love for Siberia, so I started learning Russian 3 weeks ago, subscribed to Youtubers from that area, the perfect song got recommended on YT which I keep listening to on loop, it makes me feel soooooooo good and I feel really uplifted.

Yes, I left the dreary north of England for Australia. It was so much better for my well being. The combination of sun, sea and sand also did wonders in clearing up my eczema. It took just 2 weeks to clear years of pain and discomfort.
