Homeostasis keeps us stuck. Stress disrupts homeostasis and calls our potential into play, and allostasis is the ability to transform stress into opportunities to learn, grow, and EVOLVE
Wow, just this morning I found myself in an existential crises and it feels REALLY uncomfortable! I'm not exactly in the dark abyss but blindsided by the light of some realizations I had upon awakening. It feels scary and intimidating. It's helpful to have a context and realize it's part of a reorganizing process that is necessary for me to move forward. Not comfortable though. Thanks Elisha for sharing your keen insight and for sharing it today! I feel met and companioned by you. Much love..
Elisha, this article is brilliant. I'm reading it from the perspective of my spiritual practice. You just spoke about the body. Really amazing...honestly, I'm a little gobsmacked. Thank you.
You're welcome Julie. Thanks for reading and commenting! This idea is actually so simple, and the reality of it is staring all of us in the face every day - hiding in plain sight. Glad you liked this one, it feels like one of the most important facts of life to understand.
Excellent information! Finally, one of the many 'why' questions I have had for a very long time, you have answered, Elisha.
It had kept me confused as to why, when I tried to change myself or what I'd been doing to better my health and life, it would only last for a very short period of time.
Also, when those old habits did return, they'd come back with a vengeance worse than they were before; almost like I was being punished for wanting to and trying to change.
I now realize that I wasn't being punished. The thing that needed my full attention in order to resolve it was only screaming louder, since I wasn't listening or paying attention to it in the first place. It had to keep trying, until I did.

Greatly appreciate this, Elisha. (:
So glad to hear this was the needed info to answer a long unanswered question Eva! 😊
Elisha, I've got a challenge for you oh masterful one! Tell us, in one golden nugget, what is hiding in plain sight? What's the ticket out of pain?
