What do carbon dioxide, cilantro and aluminum have in common?
Poisons, remedies and healing processes are not all that they appear at first glance.

For a while now, my body has been rejecting almost everything I try to eat.
Which is really unusual for me.
Normally I can tune in and meet my body’s food needs.
A week ago I experienced a sudden and intense craving for vegetarian Indian food. Dal and rice, in particular. So I went to an Indian restaurant and ordered the meal my body was asking for.
Wondering what my body was trying to teach me, I looked at the food when it arrived to the table.
Sitting on top of the yellow-gold dal was a heaping pile of cilantro.
Because I cook a lot, and have cooked some Indian and Thai food at home, I also knew the dish was full of turmeric, fennel, cumin and chili powder. Sometimes they use coriander as well, which is dried cilantro seed.
Next to the dal was a giant bowl of white rice.
Instantly, I was reminded of the mercury poisoning saga that I experienced in early 2018.
This particular health crisis started off mild: difficulty sleeping, a racing heart and general malaise. But within six months I was waking up vomiting every morning; my stomach was so distended that I looked pregnant; my periods went from very regular (all my life) to absolutely haywire; half a dozen muscles were twitching all the time; I was hiccup-burping throughout the day (by far the weirdest symptom); and I had become so emotionally depressed that I lost all motivation and will.
Stefan and I were a couple back then (we still work together today, but we broke up in 2021), and I woke up one morning in February 2018 and told him:
“I’m being poisoned, and it’s either mercury or lead.”
So I found an independent lab that would order me the tests I wanted without needing a doctor’s orders. They took my blood and sent it off to be tested for lead and mercury.
A week later we got the results, and that moment changed both of our lives forever.
The test revealed that I had 15ug/liter of mercury in my blood.
During the time between the blood draw and the day we got those results, I had done a lot of research. I already knew that there is no “safe” amount of mercury, but discovered through my research that anything over 5ug/liter is considered acute poisoning and immediate hospitalization is advised. And since these levels are not considered common, it is also recommended that the hospital alert the state and county health offices so they can investigate.
Well, I don’t go to hospitals unless I’ve severed a limb or something extremely life threatening happens. This wasn’t that. I was going to solve this on my own.
I don’t eat fish and I don’t have amalgam fillings. So where on earth was the mercury coming from?
Some of you might remember that I eventually figured out, through a herculean detective mission to find the root cause, that I was most likely being poisoned by airborne mercury. Where exactly the mercury was coming from is still a mystery.
There were three primary culprits:
Coal fired power plants, which are prevalent in Colorado and emit a lot of mercury into the air.
Fracking, which is happening all over Colorado (including dozens of sites within a mile of my house at the time). Fracking explodes the earth’s crust and can release elemental mercury into the air.
Cemex - a cement plant not far from my house, and very close to a beloved hiking trail, that spews a lot of mercury into the air.
During my investigations, I asked all of my friends and many of my clients if they’d be willing to test themselves. Stefan also got tested, and out of 17 people who volunteered to help me, 11 had levels higher than 5ug/liter in their blood.
This is a longer story than we have time for today, but it was because of this event that I embarked on a quest to learn as much as I possibly can about environmental factors when it comes to modern diseases and illness. I’m still on this quest today.
One of the first things I learned back in 2018 is that cilantro is known as a powerful heavy metal chelator: it draws toxins out of fat cells and organs where it has been stored. Which sounds like a good thing. Except…
When I tried to use cilantro to get the mercury out of my body in 2018, it backfired catastrophically and I got even sicker.
Many people, myself included, experience intense poisoning symptoms as a result of taking cilantro supplements and other chelation agents. In my case, I know it wasn’t a “healing crisis” (which I don’t believe in) or merely something I had to suffer through in order to detox my body. The more I tried to push toxins out of my cells with chelating agents like cilantro, the sicker I became.
Next, I learned about the importance of binders.
If there is nothing in your body to “soak up” the heavy metals as they leave the fat cells or organs and enter the digestive system, then they can re-circulate.
So I started taking rice bran with my cilantro, modifilan (a seaweed chelator) and chlorella.
Still, I got sicker and sicker.
Since I do my best to “think with my body” to help it heal, I eventually realized that my detox pathways were seriously blocked. My lymph system was inflamed and tender to the touch; my gut was overwhelmed. My body just couldn’t get those toxins out fast enough. So they recirculated through my blood system, poisoning me in the process causing all manner of awful symptoms before (presumably) being deposited back into my organs, bones and fat.
Surrendered to “what is,” I stopped trying so hard to force something that simply had its own timing (and I haven’t taken a single supplement since).
Then, in July 2020, I ruptured my MCL when I fell into a rushing river after seeing a bear walking straight toward me from about 4 yards away.
Two days later I had a life-changing epiphany:
At an emotional inner child level - even at 39 years old, with twenty years of healing work behind me - I was someone who had great difficulty “letting go.”
Of what?
Everything, apparently: friendship ruptures; painful childhood experiences, emotional hurts, unmet childhood needs and expectations; the hope that someday the little girl I once was would suddenly materialize parents who would care for and protect her in all the ways she needed…it’s a big list. And of course, toxins. I could not let go of those either.
For my 40th birthday, I gave myself the gift of letting go.
Within a few months my body began to naturally and more easily let go of toxicity: my body’s sweat glands opened for the first time as an adult. Before this, I would get in a sauna (trying to help myself detox) and spend 45 minutes sitting there not sweating at all, until my body broke out in goosebumps and nausea forced me to get out.
That’s how much difficulty my organism had in letting go!
My body was mirroring my soul and spiritual nature.
When I changed, my body changed.
Last week, as I was eating the dal and rice, I began thinking about the innate wisdom our bodies possess; wisdom that we also possess. Or, used to.
Rice binds to toxins.
Cilantro is a chelating agent.
Spices like cumin, an antioxidant, bind to free radicals like toxins.
As a food, cilantro is almost always eaten with rice and cumin in the cultures where it has historically been consumed: Thailand, Vietnam, China, India, Mexico, Central and South America…
These herbs and foods go together so naturally from a flavor standpoint that we intuitively combine them into delicious meals.
What does this have to do with aluminum and carbon dioxide?
Aluminum is probably the most famous “toxin” on the earth. It is a well known heavy metal proven to be highly poisonous to humans and animals, and it is prevalent in our environment today.
Aluminum has been linked to many modern diseases, from Alzheimer’s to autism.
While conventional doctrine denies any link between aluminum poisoning and the official diseases classified by the Big Pharma funded institutes, this is nevertheless what they tell us are the symptoms of aluminum poisoning:
Now, a lot of people are using cilantro in an attempt to detox their bodies of aluminum.
But maybe we shouldn’t be so hasty?
Before we try to change something, I believe we should first seek understanding.
For example, it might be worth asking:
Why has the human organism (ecosystem) been absorbing so much aluminum over the last 100+ years?
Sure, we’ve been exposed to unprecedented levels of aluminum during the last century and a half (among other toxins like pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and desiccants like glyphosate).
But why is our body holding onto aluminum more (it seems) than other metals?
I’m sure you’ve heard the term “tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist.”
Julian Huxley, brother of "Brave New World" author Aldous Huxley, coined the term in his 1927 work "The Tissue-Culture King.” Tinfoil hats, in this book, were used to shield people from government mind control projects.
What if there is more truth to this tale than first meets the eye?
A quick inventory of recent history reveals one of the most overlooked but noteworthy changes the world has ever experienced: the electrification of the earth by human beings.
Electricity is so ubiquitous today in the developed world that we barely think about its origins; or its impact.
But there seems to be a corresponding uptake of aluminum by human bodies with each increase in non native electromagnetic fields (the most recent being the roll out of 5G and Starlink satellites).
Corresponding with each technological increase in magnetic radiation comes a wave of sickness that is usually labeled a pandemic or flu.
Please do yourself a favor and read “The Invisible Rainbow” by
- it’s a tragic, compelling and well documented story of the untold origins of most modern diseases. We are being poisoned by invisible magnetic frequencies and it is causing an ever escalating increase in human disease. And…
Aluminum, as it turns out, is a natural shield against certain magnetic frequencies.
Which really begs the question:
Could the human organism, in its divine intelligence, be using aluminum in an attempt to shield us (as much as it can) from harmful magnetic frequencies?
Could it be that our most acute symptoms are actually aluminum poisoning? Could it be that we don’t know just how detrimental non native EMFs would be without the elemental protection in the form of aluminum uptake?
Heavy metals are typically absorbed into the skin, nails, and hair; then the body moves on to store them in fat cells; and if those fill up, the body will use the lymph nodes and vessels, along with fatty organs like the liver and brain.
The skin, nails, hair and fat are all things we “wear” mostly on the outside - as a semi permeable boundary, or shield, between us and the world.
I’ve often said that “your body would rather you be in pain than dead.”
Now I will also begin saying:
“Your body would rather you die slowly over many years than die suddenly today.”
Aluminum may cause disease, but perhaps we would be dying much faster if our bodies weren’t absorbing it in such large quantities today.
The curious thing about carbon dioxide:
When you hear the words carbon dioxide, what comes to mind?
For most people today, the answer is “global warming.”
Supposedly, carbon dioxide is poisoning our planet.
But do you even know what carbon dioxide is? What purpose it serves? What its physical and spiritual properties are?
I didn’t until very recently.
Last year, I read the following sentence in a book and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since:
“Carbon dioxide attempts to hold spirit fast with all its might.”
~ Rudolf Steiner
Carbon dioxide attempts to hold spirit fast with all its might.
Wow.
Could this be true?
Could this be why there is a war on carbon dioxide today?
Call me a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist if you must, but I have no doubt whatsoever in the existence of evil. And I have no doubt whatsoever that evil is working through modern governments (and the people) to achieve its dark aims.
And, I am a scientist.
So I like to investigate, find patterns and test things for myself.
What else do we know about carbon?
Much to my shock when I began looking into this, if you want to shield your bedroom (or your whole house) from harmful non native EMFs, one of the best ways to do so is to paint your walls with “shielding paint.”
This is the gold standard of protection, even if it is the most costly.
But what exactly is in this paint that offers us protection from harmful magnetic frequencies?
Carbon!
Carbon is the best protection we have against harmful EMFs?
Wow.
Are you seeing what I’m seeing yet?
Are you connecting the dots?
If you’re not quite there with me yet…
Let’s ask ourselves a question:
Why, at the exact time in human history when certain corporate and government powers want to blot out the night sky and encircle the earth in low orbiting satellites that provide “fast internet for everyone,” and at the same time are setting about covering the planet with 5G towers to create “the internet of things”…
Is there a war on carbon dioxide in our atmosphere?
Could it be that “they” need to deplete the atmosphere of carbon dioxide in order to accomplish their goal of bathing every square inch of our world in high frequency magnetic waves?
I don’t have all the answers.
What I do have are questions that I believe we should be asking together.
I also have a gift for pattern recognition, and my mission is to use that gift as a healing impulse in the world.
My best interpretation of my body’s recent rejection of “normal” foods, and the craving for vegetarian Indian food, is that my body is asking for the medicine it needs to extract the remaining mercury from my fat cells and organs (via cilantro), bind them (via rice and cumin), and move them out of my body for good (since my detox pathways are finally open).
It has taken me nearly six years to arrive here. For two years following the mercury poisoning, I desperately wanted to feel better. I tried so hard to force the mercury out of my body…and all of those attempts made my sickness worse.
Following the cues of my body instead of the fear-based reactions of my soul has allowed me to gradually, easily - and without any “healing crisis” whatsoever - eliminate the poisons little by little.
Everything has its right timing.
In 2018, my reaction to being poisoned included the decision to leave Colorado - the only place I’ve ever felt at home. When I first moved here in 2011, I knew this was my forever home and I never wanted to leave.
Last October, I moved back to Longmont - the city I lived in when I was poisoned.
Fracking is still happening.
Coal fired power plants are still spewing mercury into the air.
I’ve been hiking Rabbit Mountain almost every day, which is adjacent to the Cemex plant.
Maybe I will get sick again.
I don’t believe I will but I’m not arrogant enough to assume so.
What I’ve learned through this experience is that running away doesn’t help. There are no “safe” places (especially from toxins, and EMFs). I love this land, and my friends are here. If the land and the eagles and the rabbis and the fish are being poisoned - I can accept that so must I, too, be poisoned.
The animals of this planet don’t have a voice.
But I do.
I can share my story, and urge us all to really think about what we’re doing to this planet - because everything we do to this planet, we do to ourselves.
We must take the Whole into consideration when looking for root causes and solutions, instead of only seeking what will benefit ourselves as individuals.
In closing I’d like to share an excerpt from the book where I read the Steiner quote above. He discusses the spiritual properties of crystals and carbon dioxide.
Silica is a very common substance on Earth. It is present not only in the form of quartz crystals in the Earth’s solid regions but also in highly diluted form in the air. Silica makes up 28% of the substance of Earth’s surface, while oxygen makes up 48%, so there is almost as much silica on Earth as there is oxygen. Silica forms beautiful, transparent, six-sided prisms or pyramids. These crystals are commonly found in our mountains; the particularly beautiful ones are displayed in mineral collections.
Silica is an extremely important component of our solid Earth. But for those qho have also acquired spiritual vision, the outer phenomena of quartz and silica also reveal a spiritual aspect. Such a statement raises the hackles of our contemporaries even more than speaking about spirit in the human being, which is somehow more acceptable to them. They cannot accept, however, when we talk about nature and say that spirit is present in every natural object. They are content with nature’s physical manifestations, but physical manifestations do not tell the whole story.
It makes a tremendous difference whether we apply our spiritual vision and trained consciousness to a quartz crystal (or even very finely dispersed silica) or to carbon dioxide gas. It is customary today to apply the usual physical distinctions: carbon dioxide is carbon plus oxygen; silicon is silica plus oxygen. We describe silica, oxygen and carbon in terms of the properties they reveal in chemical reactions taking place in test tubes in laboratories.
In addition to these properties, however, spirit is also present. In fact, all forms of silica, including the crystals we find in our mountainous regions, allow the spirit free passage. All spiritual forces that are active in the universe pass freely through silica.
The strange thing about a quartz crystal is that to spirit, it is like a through station to an express train. Twenty-eight percent of the Earth’s total substance is silica, and spirit passes through it as readily as light passes through transparent objects. Quartz crystals also occur in opaque forms such as smoky topaz, but spirit passes right through even though light does not. These natural substances allow spirit to pass through. They are a vehicle for spirit. Spirit is present within them; they accept it readily, yet never hold it back. They are truly through stations for spirit.
This is how substances like silica relate to the spiritual element, but the relationship is a very different one in the case of carbon dioxide. Although all physical substances contain spirit, carbon dioxide has the unique quality of individualizing the spirit that enters it.
Carbon dioxide attempts to hold fast to spirit with all its might. The spiritual element itself seeks out carbon dioxide as its dwelling place. When the spiritual element enters a siliceous substance, it wants to move on, to enjoy all the available silica to the utmost. When spirit encounters carbon dioxide, however, it wants to stay there; it feels very much at home wherever it takes hold of carbon dioxide.
From the book titled “The Healing Process: Spirit, Nature And Our Bodies” - a collection of lectures given by Rudolf Steiner from 1923 to 1924.
That piece about carbon dioxide gave me chills. I'm a huge fan of Rudolf Steiner's work, and what he had to say about silica and carbon feels so relevant and true. I've known for many years that the war on carbon is a false flag. It's another enslavement scheme, meant to keep us from traveling and to tax us into oblivion. Plus, lowering CO2 is bad for the plants and would ultimately lead to less oxygen for humans. But the extra layer of "Carbon dioxide attempts to hold spirit fast with all its might" makes it all make sense. The taxation and physical enslavement are just bonuses. There are SO SO many ways "they" trap us spiritually and prevent us from elevating, keeping us in the endless cycle of reincarnation that we don't need to go through, but we don't know better. Not to say it's "their" fault. Too many of us happily into the nonsense they are selling, all for "convenience" and "progress". I love the direction you are taking your work, Elisha!
Thank you for making these very timely connections!
As for carbon dioxide, we are carbon-based life-forms, truly. Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen make up all of the carbohydrate, fat and protein (with nitrogen added for the latter) - the biochemicals of life. Plants need carbon dioxide, but animals (including humans) do as well, to maintain homeostasis in our blood and regulate our respiratory systems. And that's just the physical side of it - if you consider the mysterious phenomenon of "life" as a physical thing.
I hadn't heard this before, about the spiritual aspects of carbon dioxide - but maybe this is how living organisms become "alive"...
