To achieve our goals, we need - to begin with - to understand human nature. OUR nature: what we’re made of and how we function, both physically and spiritually. This is the focus of the Core Curriculum I will be offering inside the School for Living Science.

Knowledge of the whole human organism - made of body, soul and spirit, and understood in the context of its whole environment: society, planet and cosmos - allows us to become tuning forks for truth and beacons of healing and freedom.

I don’t believe I have all the answers, but I do know that together we can discover them. After 16 years in private practice and 7 years teaching online, I am being called to open a new kind of School.

A school where:

• We forge our own path through the current health crisis, inspired to seek true knowledge of the whole human organism directly from the source - ourselves - instead of blindly following “experts” or “trusting the science” of academic institutions that have been captured by state and corporate powers.

• Governments don’t get to tell us what we can learn, how we can learn, who we can work with or what we can do with the knowledge we acquire.

• We learn how to think with reality so our efforts to heal effect real change.

• Motivated individuals are given practices and processes to develop the self knowledge needed to thrive through life without needing to rely on “experts.”

• Practitioners learn how to address each unique client as an individual, instead of treating disease labels and symptoms.

Free classes and Open House Zooms coming up.

Over the next two weeks I will be offering some Open House zooms for those of you interested in possibly joining the School so you can get clear about your learning options and ask me any questions you have.

Upcoming free classes include Secrets of Fascia (May 28th) Pain and Its Transformation (May 29th), and Mysteries of Blood (May 30th).

In this last class we will explore the connection between blood and the human "I" or ego, disease and degeneration patterns associated with poor blood circulation, and how this knowledge can help us "think with" the human organism in order to see a path to healing and regeneration that's just as spiritual as it is physical.

This class on blood - more than all the others - will help you understand what "living science" is and how this knowledge can help us to become co-creators with our bodies for healing and freedom.

I'm also hosting a "State of the Union" on June 4th to ask - and attempt to answer - three critical questions with you:

▶ What is the chronic pain and disease epidemic trying to teach us?
▶ What is the role and responsibility of practitioners today?
▶ What is the role and responsibility of the individual?

As you probably know if you've been hanging out with me for even a little while - I call myself a pain advocate. I don’t mean this in any kind of sadistic sense, obviously. I'm a pain advocate because pain avoidance and fear of pain are, I believe, one ROOT cause of our current health crisis.

Underneath most of our attempts to heal are the impulses for pain avoidance and symptom suppression - including all of the “healthy” things we try, like fascia release, cold plunging, breath work and eating well.

When pain and illness visit us - it is an invitation to listen more deeply to the needs of our soul and spirit; and of our physical body; and also, to each other and to this planet; to become even more present; and most importantly, to wake up to something critical before we find ourselves in a pit that is so deep and dark we can’t see a way out.

Pain and illness are the call to responsibility; and to courageous truth seeking - as individuals, but also as a society.

We can do this.

We can do this for ourselves, for each other, and for humanity as a whole.

If we remain open minded, devoted to the truth and receptive to the teachings of Life herself...we can do this.
