Evil, Conscience and Ideals | Sluggish Blood, Migraines and Strong Bones
Jonah Evans returns to the podcast and we kick things off by talking about the nature of evil. Below, I share some written insights into optimizing blood flow and using compression for bone health.
The Human Freedom Project is my contribution to a more conscious, healthy and free world. You can find an archive of written articles on the website, listen to the podcast on Apple and Spotify or watch on my new YouTube channel. I don’t have sponsors and all of these projects take dozens of hours per week. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber to support my work.
PAID SUBSCRIBERS: you’re invited to join me on Zoom tomorrow at 6PM EST. Bring a question or a story. Ask me anything. Right now I’m doing a ton of research into common law and how to operate private trusts. I’m happy to share what I’m learning if it’s of interest!
Dear friends,
Struggle is necessary for growth. We all know this, even if we resist it.
Whether we’re talking about healthy human bones, which need mechanical stress to stay strong and elastic, or we’re talking about the many challenges we face as human beings - like pain, oppression, poverty, illness, death - reality shows us time and time again how beneficial it is to be challenged if we want to actualize our highest and healthiest potential.
Ironically, it is often in our chronic attempts to “blot out” the painful events of our lives that opportunity for growth is presented to us.
Given this knowledge, I’ve been wondering:
When is it appropriate to intervene in the natural unfolding of life's events in order to “make the world [or a relationship, or a body, an economy, or __________ ] better?”
A razor’s edge separates our impulse to “fix” or take away pain, on the one hand, and on the other a desire that we all carry to mold the world into our own personal ideal, or utopia. Teetering on this razor’s edge we find a portal, a doorway, that leads each of us on an individual journey through which our highest potential - as individuals and as a whole human family - might be actualized. Along the way, we are called to align our thoughts, feelings and actions with the voice of our conscience.

Sub-Human Nature, Conflict, Oppression, Conscience, Ideals | Rev. Jonah Evans
If you’ve ever wondered whether ‘evil’ exists, I think you’ll enjoy this conversation. My friend Jonah is back for Round III, and we discuss how adversarial (evil) forces actually help us to grow and become more fully human. Jonah shares two moving stories (including one about his 11 year old daughter who has a rare incurable disease) to illustrate how illness invites us to develop our capacity for love and compassion.
During the last half of the conversation, Jonah and I grapple with a concept that has been difficult for me to articulate, let alone bring to bear on reality, which has to do with our human impulse to “change the world for the better.”
Blood, bones and migraines.
Recently someone requested my help in solving a stubborn case of recurring migraine. I offer remote sessions over Zoom, in case you didn’t know.
There’s a lot more to her story than sluggish blood, but I feel inspired to share a few thoughts with you today, because blood is so often overlooked in our quest for answers and solutions.
Blood is a fascinating substance. Its patterns can tell us a lot about our sense of Self or “I” being, and it is the body’s inbuilt healer as I wrote about last year.
The brain, like all organs in the body, needs a constant supply of fresh blood in order to function optimally. It also needs to dump waste and toxins into the blood and lymph systems so they can be eliminated. If either of these isn’t happening in an optimal manner, it seems plausible to me that one outcome could be migraine - at least in those who instinctively apply heat to get relief (which was the case).
Heat increases vasodilation, which assists the blood to flow more easily. But lack of heat isn’t the root cause, it merely points to possible root causes. Fascial restrictions in the neck, chest, arms and gut represent one potential root cause.
Fascia wraps every blood vessel in the body, and the superficial fascia houses the entire lymph system with all of its nodes and vessels.
Fascia surrounding blood vessels can “strangle” them when it becomes too dense and inelastic, whether due to scar tissue, dehydration, trauma, toxicity or certain postures (hello text neck and sitting too much!) This can result in sluggish blood and/or high blood pressure. It takes more pressure to move blood through tight, narrow channels than elastic, open ones. But it’s also worth mentioning that a LACK of outside force or pressure (from blood vessels contained within fascial sheaths are TOO elastic and flexible) will also cause sluggish blood.
Blood is made in the bone marrow, so it’s worth talking about bones when we’re talking about blood.
All of our bones are also wrapped in fascia (some people even argue that bones ARE fascia), and the deep fascia that wraps our muscles can become gluey and stick to the bones, which means nutrients have a harder time getting in and out.
Bones need compression to stay healthy.
In fact, in the above podcast Jonah mentioned a study where scientists tried to grow bone in a gravity free environment, and the bones grew in spirals! We need gravity, or compression, to maintain our “upright” nature, down to our bones.
“We’re testing the hypothesis that when cells aren’t pushing back against gravity, that reduction in stiffness makes them susceptible to the same type of changes we see in osteoporosis. But we also think we can prevent those health impacts by mechanically compressing cells in a way that mimics gravity.”
Allen Liu from a Michigan University News article
Blood AND bone optimization is something we can do with Kinetix.
As long as there are no nervous system patterns blocking access to the world of fascia, Kinetix techniques can rapidly and powerfully flush the lymph system, instantly improve body-wide blood circulation, AND contribute to bone health. Kinetix is my method of partner fascia release and mapping.
This is due to four factors unique to this method of working with fascia:
Broad but not total compression of muscles, nerves, fascia and blood vessels. This allows blood to flow OUT of the compressed area, and then it gushes back in as soon as it’s released. (Compression boots/sleeves WILL NOT produce the same result because they compress in 360 degrees, which doesn’t give the stagnant blood anywhere to go except towards the center, or bones).
Compression and shearing of fascia and water: two planes of tissue/fluid moving in opposite directions sliding against each other with SOME - but not too much -resistance. This creates negatively charged structured water, which powers the human organism like a water battery.
The spiralic nature of rotational movements used with Kinetix techniques, which increases the flow rate of fluids through the body, which move in vortex like spirals from the heart outward, and from the limbs and brain back to the heart. The heart is not a pump.
The thermal (heat) energy produced when two people make physical contact combined with self initiated movement (not to mention the electrical, sound vibration, magnetism and light energy produced, aka the 5 kinetic energies).
The client I mentioned with the migraines has already taken action and is using some Kinetix partner work in addition to other practices that could help to unblock whatever it is that’s restricting her blood flow. She reported good initial results, especially with Kinetix, but we’ll have to wait a little while to see if it leads to full resolution.
If you’re interested in this type of science, and this kind of working with the body, I’ll be opening the Kinetix Academy soon, which will include online and in person classes. I’m very excited, especially about gathering in person.

I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be offering Zoom consultations, since I will be doing a LOT of online teaching and podcasting from now on, and I am definitely one of those people that suffers from “Zoom fatigute.”
If you want to work with me one on one while it’s still an option, CLICK HERE to learn about remote consultations. I may not be able to step on you, but there are patterns to everything - and the answers are revealed in the patterns expressed by your body and life.
More and more, I’m looking for ways to bring us together in person. I know it’s not always possible, but I believe life will conspire to bring those of us together who are meant to do this work, at least some of the time, side by side in real time.
Thank you for joining me on the path of growing through struggle.
With love,
Elisha
Hi Elisha, In regard to qualifying to attend the zoom call tomorrow 6am AWST, I would love to attend and just realised that by cancelling my "old" HFP membership along with my "old" email that my yearly paid membership from August 2023 to August 2024 is no longer active...I've re-joined the HFP today with my new email address...would you let me know if it's ok for me to join the zoom call please Elisha?
